Because Mr Toh's busy having babies, we didn't have Project Work today again, so Cheryl and I went to watch THE STEPFORD WIVES in the library. Which made me very happy because I've always wanted to watch it since I wikied the plot and it was like HOLY SHITTTTT, THIS LOOKS COOL.
Heehee, it's got Matthew Borderick (I'm pretty sure I spelt that wrong) and Christopher Walken in it. And it's so strange cause I keep thinking THE PRODUCERS~~~ whenever I see Matthew Bowhatever, because he's just like a little boy and he sounds exactly the same (well d'uh, but not in the same person!same voice way but in some other way which I have no idea how to explain and I shall stop going on about it) and Christopher Walken looks so young in it, haha, unlike in Hairspray.
It was quite a cool movie and I don't get why there were so many people flaming it for being a lousy remake cause it was quite snazzy. I want to watch the original movie now, and read the book. Haha, gosh, I really need to spend more time studying after the soon-to-be-released-horrendous results I'm sure to have got on my CTs.

I don't even know why, I suppose it's to make up for my lack of patriotism when I was back in St. Nicks but since I'm surrounded by men in white in RJC, I might as well suck up to the government now just in case I get hauled off one day for idk doing drugs or because someone fell repeatedly onto a knife I was holding.

TODAY WAS GOOD GOOD-ohshitwhatdidigetmyselfinto?. Yeah, in that order. Because Japanese class was GOOD, apart from the fact that I can't pronounce phrases that are too long because it's like a freaking tongue-twister and I don't listen to Omae-sensei very well (but I like the fact that now I can say 'Because I don't like your face' in Japanese). Oh, and I should stop wasting money on too-sweet Starbucks coffee every week. But it's addictive. AND THERE'S A POPCORN STAND NEARBY. Which is tempting.
Lunch was GOOD. Even though I may have killed myself if the nice waitressgirl didn't come and help me cook my food. Because we went to some Teppanyaki place in Ion where you've got to cook your own food. And... Well... IT'S DIFFICULT OKAY. But they've got these super cute wooden spoons which ARE SO CUTE. Though I ate only one scoop of rice with them, but that is besides the point.
BUT DANCE WAS NOT GOOD. It was HORRIFYING and BAD because I'm a total n00bshit compared to everyone there. It's like OMGKILLMENAOTHISISBAD, and I couldn't catch practically the whole cheorography. My brain has to up its processing speed because I will freaking die if this carries on. EEEEEEP! Oh, but it was supersupersuperfun!, even the bits which hurt like crap because it was all like HOHO, CONDITIONINGGG, YES, LET'S DO SCARY THINGS THAT HURT BECAUSE Y'KNOW IT'S SUPPOSE TO MAKE YOU STRONG AND IDKWHAT.
Nghhhhhhhh, I'm looking forward to next week's dance session yet I know I'm going to make a fool of myself being fifty-nine beats behind everyone else and about eighty moves behind (hahaseewhatididthere? i hate myself so much this time, heehee, 8059). But IT'S FUN. Rawr.

STREETFEST WAS EPIC EPIC EPIC! I'm so excited for Cosfest, I would post a coherent post about it, but hey, none of my posts are coherent so why break the trend? BUT IT WAS SO GREAT. Listening to Don't Stop Believing is super distracting and I'm failing to express my OMG KILL ME NOW I WANT TO DIE IN THIS PLACE BECAUSE IT IS SO EPIC feelings of Streetfest because it was basically OMG I AM IN HEAVEN.
It would have been nice to see Soul Eater cosplayers but I think there are going to be some in Cosfest which would basically mean at Cosfest I'll be like OMG KILL ME NAO PLZ I DON'T MIND LIVING HERE FOREVER AND EVER.
YES. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. Heehee, I've no idea how Kyon and I managed to spend so much time just standing around looking at all the cosplayers and how we DIDN'T end up getting the 8059 shot because she wouldn't ask them for the 8059 shot, but THEY WERE STANDING NEXT TO EACH OTHER FOR THE GROUP SHOT... So I guess... We can use Photoshop or something. Haha. But omg, it was so epic.
And Minn and Xin came along too which was cooooooool, apart from the fact that Xin came. =.= THAT FOOL~. Haha.
I WANT TO LIVE IN A STREETFEST/AFA/SOY/WHATEVER/COSFEST FOREVER PLZ KKTHXBAI.
OMG, I CAN'T WAIT FOR COSFEST. HEE.
And I loved all the random passerbys who didn't know there was an event going on's expressions, cause they were all like O.O WTF IS THIS BS MAN!. But they should have more events in shopping centres (not fail events like Starfest) because then more people will be like OH, THIS IS SO COOL, COSPLAY IS KEWL. And there'll be an influx of awesomely dressed people on the streets and it will be like OMG, YES PLZ.

ANYWAY, I figured a normal post was in order because SOME PEOPLE (cough Xin that bitch) are bitching about the lack of non-fangasming over SOUL EATER OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG, I LOVE THAT ANIME OMGOMGOMG, I'M SORRY KHR BUT Y'KNOW AMANO IS SUCH A BITCH WHEN IT COMES TO GIRLS. Uh I mean, let me tell you about my awesome day in which I met awesome people and drank awesome shooters and had an awesome time.
Yeah, I just sat around at home and copied words from my Econs notes and OKAY, I TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD STUFF! Which made me feel incredibly clever till I realized that if I want to pass Econs I probably have to do more than just read the notes, and that depressed me. Then my attention span died and I decided to watch Digimon on Cartoon Network instead. WAIT NO, this makes me sound like a slacker.
After 120minutes (it was less but w/e) of HARD WORK (not really), I decided to take a short (yeah right) break so I switched on the television and went to Cartoon Network and OHMYHEART IS THAT DIGIMON? Have I mentioned how much I've not been thinking about Digimon? :-O First it was KHR and now it's Soul Eater, I have an inability to be scarilyinsanelyobessivelyiwouldstalkthemiftheywerereal interested in more than one anime/thing at a time. But yes, irregardless, it was : Diaboromon Strikes Back! WHICH WAS FUN STUFF. Because they had this super epic scene where Imperialdramon flew behind Tai Chi and Tai Chi was all like OHMYGODOMNIMONPLZDON'TDIE!!!! and it was like HOHOH, GET IT? THE NEXT GEN IS TAKING OVER.
Digimon is so cheesy. But w/e, I love it. Except for Season 5, because it's just horrible. Even if Touma is cute. In this Sky Tate way, which would to Xin calling him a gorilla but I suppose Touma does look like Sky in a way. =.= Since they're blonde... Riiight.

So I collected my costume today, WHY YES I AM EXCITED. I mean apart from the fact that I have to go alter it slightly and although I don't think I will, I think I may die of a heatstroke on that day but nevertheless, THIS IS ONE STEP TOWARDS LEADING AN AWESOME LIFE. Heehee.
So instead of angry ranting (which shall disappear anyway because I will start to watch Soul Eater and it will make me happy because of how awesome the characters are in there and the fact that well, IT IS SO EPIC OMG), I shall rant about how Amano is such a bitch to female characters in Reborn. Because she is. A bitch. To female characters. In Reborn.
Like making them all powerless and shit and the guys are all like YEAH, WE BE KICKING ASS YO and Chrome's all like OH BOSSU~ I CAN HELP BUT OH NO TENTACLES AGAIN. AGAIN? SRSLY? Reborn animators, srsly, srsly? What is with Chrome and attracting tentacles? AND PLZZZZZ, SHE BE ILLUSIONIST YO! SHE CAN KICKASS YO! She kicked ass in the Future Arc (for five seconds and with the help of the Kokoyu gang and well not by herself) BUT STILL.

And this is totally why I hardly ship any non-slash Reborn pairings because all the females in the show are so FAIL. Except for I-Pin and she's like 5... And Bianchi, but I just don't like her.

BF: How would Patriot react if he were locked in a room with a naked man? How would Hulklingor Hawkingbird (her answer's not funny)react differently?
AH: Patriot has a very take-charge, no-nonsense demeanor. He is not easily intimidated -- even by a naked man. He'd probably take a quick look at the goods, judge them accordingly, then look the guy straight in the eye and firmly suggest he think about finding himself a pair of pants.
Then Patriot would go about doing whatever's next on his to-do list.
Hulkling would be intrigued by the Naked Man -- and even a little envious of the guy's obvious confidence. He'd nod approvingly, give the guy the thumbs up, and say "Good for you, Naked Man." And though he'd try his best to maintain eye contact at all times, he'd fail miserably.
BF: It must have been surprising that readers clued in to Hulkling and Asgardian's relationship so quickly. Why do you feel readers would be so keen on outing their potential gayness as to declare it after a mere glance?
AH: I have to admit, the reader response to that single panel in YA #1 took me completely by surprise. But comic book readers are incredibly perceptive and understand that when the artist and writer devote an entire panel to a single shared glance, that glance must have some storytelling significance. We hadn't planned to address Hulkling and Asgardian's relationship until well into the first year, but after the enthusiastic response to that panel, we were able to integrate their relationship into the fabric of the book much earlier.
BF: Even for an understanding set of parents, coming out can be quite a bombshell. From a dramatic point of view, why did you make it so easy for Billy's parents to pick up on and accept his gayness and his relationship with Teddy?
AH: Part of it was about subverting expectations and not wanting to write a scene I felt I'd already seen many, many times before. Also, Billy's parents are extremely well adjusted, Upper West Side doctors. She's a therapist, and he's a cardiologist, so I thought if anyone's going to have a solid grasp of human sexuality, it would be the Kaplan's. And finally, I guess it was my hope that in seeing Billy's parents lovingly accept his sexuality, readers might be inspired to have similarly loving reactions if ever faced with that particular moment.
(Heehee, the scene was so cute! When Billy was all like, omg, i want to come out of the closet... I'm a superhero. And his parents cut him off so they are like HEEHEE, IT'S OKAY THAT YOU'RE GAY. WE APPROVE OF TEDDY. Welcome to the family son!)

OH YES. Of all the Sentai seasons I've watched, I've liked them all over the Power Rangers adaptation of it, well kind of...
Okay, I liked Dino Thunder over Abarangers, because Aba was just WEIRD, super duper WEIRD. I mean, I finished the whole season and after that I was still OMGWTFBBQ just happened???
Dekaranger pwns SPD's ass just because SPD ripped off plot-lines and screwed up Disney writers couldn't do proper character development even though there was so much awesomeness in the characters and the cast was like epic epic.
Uhhh, what's after that? OH. YES. Magiranger beats Mystic Force hands down, because Mystic Force was just a load of bullcrap, again with the badly adapted-ripping off plots. GOSH. AND what was with the sad excuse of an ending for MF? Nick is such a bitch.
Then, Boukenger was so much cooler than Operation Overdrive. OO started off okay enough, then it just spiraled down from there because IDK it was just... The cast sucked like MF and I wanted to hit everyone over the head because they were just so ANNOYING except for Spencer, he's mah man.
Okay, I can't compare Gekiranger with Jungle Fury cause I'm not done with either of the seasons yet. But Jungle Fury is quite epic. It's got the Ninja Storm-dynamics feel to it, plus Theo/Lily + Casey/RJ is the cutest thing ever.
I feel like such a loser now. WHATEVER. I'M GOING TO WATCH GO GO PARODY RANGERS.
Or watch this! It makes me feel like vidding Bridge/Z, but that would mean looking for clips and having to watch the whole of SPD again... Heh.:

Oh, and I should stop wasting money on too-sweet Starbucks coffee every week. But it's addictive. AND THERE'S A POPCORN STAND NEARBY. Which is tempting.
Lunch was GOOD. Even though I may have killed myself if the nice waitressgirl didn't come and help me cook my food. Because we went to some Teppanyaki place in Ion where you've got to cook your own food. And... Well... IT'S DIFFICULT OKAY. But they've got these super cute wooden spoons which ARE SO CUTE. Though I ate only one scoop of rice with them, but that is besides the point.
BUT DANCE WAS NOT GOOD. It was HORRIFYING and BAD because I'm a total n00bshit compared to everyone there. It's like OMGKILLMENAOTHISISBAD, and I couldn't catch practically the whole cheorography. My brain has to up its processing speed because I will freaking die if this carries on. EEEEEEP! Listening to Don't Stop Believing is super distracting and I'm failing to express my OMG KILL ME NOW I WANT TO DIE IN THIS PLACE BECAUSE IT IS SO EPIC feelings of Streetfest because it was basically OMG I AM IN HEAVEN.
It would have been nice to see Soul Eater cosplayers but I think there are going to be some in Cosfest which would basically mean at Cosfest I'll be like OMG KILL ME NAO PLZ I DON'T MIND LIVING HERE FOREVER AND EVER.

Heehee, I've no idea how Kyon and I managed to spend so much time just standing around looking at all the cosplayers and how we DIDN'T end up getting the 8059 shot because she wouldn't ask them for the 8059 shot, but THEY WERE STANDING NEXT TO EACH OTHER FOR THE GROUP SHOT... So I guess... We can use Photoshop or something. Haha. But omg, it was so epic.

And there'll be an influx of awesomely dressed people on the streets and it will be like OMG, YES PLZ.

ANYWAY, I figured a normal post was in order because SOME PEOPLE (cough Xin that bitch) are bitching about the lack of non-fangasming over SOUL EATER OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG, I LOVE THAT ANIME OMGOMGOMG, I'M SORRY KHR BUT Y'KNOW AMANO IS SUCH A BITCH WHEN IT COMES TO GIRLS. Uh I mean, let me tell you about my awesome day in which I met awesome people and drank awesome shooters and had an awesome time.
Yeah, I just sat around at home and copied words from my Econs notes and OKAY, I TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD STUFF! Which made me feel incredibly clever till I realized that if I want to pass Econs I probably have to do more than just read the notes, and that depressed me. Then my attention span died and I decided to watch Digimon on Cartoon Network instead. WAIT NO, this makes me sound like a slacker.
After 120minutes (it was less but w/e) of HARD WORK (not really), I decided to take a short (yeah right) break so I switched on the television and went to Cartoon Network and OHMYHEART IS THAT DIGIMON? Have I mentioned how much I've not been thinking about Digimon? :-O First it was KHR and now it's Soul Eater, I have an inability to be scarilyinsanelyobessivelyiwouldstalkthemiftheywerereal interested in more than one anime/thing at a time. But yes, irregardless, it was : Diaboromon Strikes Back! WHICH WAS FUN STUFF. Because they had this super epic scene where Imperialdramon flew behind Tai Chi and Tai Chi was all like OHMYGODOMNIMONPLZDON'TDIE!!!! and it was like HOHOH, GET IT? THE NEXT GEN IS TAKING OVER.
Digimon is so cheesy. But w/e, I love it. Except for Season 5, because it's just horrible. Even if Touma is cute. In this Sky Tate way, which would to Xin calling him a gorilla but I suppose Touma does look like Sky in a way. =.= Since they're blonde... Riiight.

So instead of angry ranting (which shall disappear anyway because I will start to watch Soul Eater and it will make me happy because of how awesome the characters are in there and the fact that well, IT IS SO EPIC OMG), I shall rant about how Amano is such a bitch to female characters in Reborn. Like making them all powerless and shit and the guys are all like YEAH, WE BE KICKING ASS YO and Chrome's all like OH BOSSU~ I CAN HELP BUT OH NO TENTACLES AGAIN. AGAIN? SRSLY? And this is totally why I hardly ship any non-slash Reborn pairings because all the females in the show are so FAIL. Except for I-Pin and she's like 5... And Bianchi, but I just don't like her.

BF: How would Patriot react if he were locked in a room with a naked man? How would Hulklingor Hawkingbird (her answer's not funny)react differently?
AH: Patriot has a very take-charge, no-nonsense demeanor. He is not easily intimidated -- even by a naked man. He'd probably take a quick look at the goods, judge them accordingly, then look the guy straight in the eye and firmly suggest he think about finding himself a pair of pants.
Then Patriot would go about doing whatever's next on his to-do list.
Hulkling would be intrigued by the Naked Man -- and even a little envious of the guy's obvious confidence. He'd nod approvingly, give the guy the thumbs up, and say "Good for you, Naked Man." And though he'd try his best to maintain eye contact at all times, he'd fail miserably.
BF: It must have been surprising that readers clued in to Hulkling and Asgardian's relationship so quickly. Why do you feel readers would be so keen on outing their potential gayness as to declare it after a mere glance?
AH: I have to admit, the reader response to that single panel in YA #1 took me completely by surprise. But comic book readers are incredibly perceptive and understand that when the artist and writer devote an entire panel to a single shared glance, that glance must have some storytelling significance. We hadn't planned to address Hulkling and Asgardian's relationship until well into the first year, but after the enthusiastic response to that panel, we were able to integrate their relationship into the fabric of the book much earlier.
BF: Even for an understanding set of parents, coming out can be quite a bombshell. From a dramatic point of view, why did you make it so easy for Billy's parents to pick up on and accept his gayness and his relationship with Teddy?
AH: Part of it was about subverting expectations and not wanting to write a scene I felt I'd already seen many, many times before. Also, Billy's parents are extremely well adjusted, Upper West Side doctors. She's a therapist, and he's a cardiologist, so I thought if anyone's going to have a solid grasp of human sexuality, it would be the Kaplan's. And finally, I guess it was my hope that in seeing Billy's parents lovingly accept his sexuality, readers might be inspired to have similarly loving reactions if ever faced with that particular moment.
(Heehee, the scene was so cute! When Billy was all like, omg, i want to come out of the closet... I'm a superhero. And his parents cut him off so they are like HEEHEE, IT'S OKAY THAT YOU'RE GAY. WE APPROVE OF TEDDY. Welcome to the family son!)

Okay, I liked Dino Thunder over Abarangers, because Aba was just WEIRD, super duper WEIRD. I mean, I finished the whole season and after that I was still OMGWTFBBQ just happened???
Dekaranger pwns SPD's ass just because SPD ripped off plot-lines and screwed up Disney writers couldn't do proper character development even though there was so much awesomeness in the characters and the cast was like epic epic.
Uhhh, what's after that? OH. YES. Magiranger beats Mystic Force hands down, because Mystic Force was just a load of bullcrap, again with the badly adapted-ripping off plots. GOSH. AND what was with the sad excuse of an ending for MF? Nick is such a bitch.
Then, Boukenger was so much cooler than Operation Overdrive. OO started off okay enough, then it just spiraled down from there because IDK it was just... The cast sucked like MF and I wanted to hit everyone over the head because they were just so ANNOYING except for Spencer, he's mah man.
Okay, I can't compare Gekiranger with Jungle Fury cause I'm not done with either of the seasons yet. But Jungle Fury is quite epic. It's got the Ninja Storm-dynamics feel to it, plus Theo/Lily + Casey/RJ is the cutest thing ever.
I feel like such a loser now. WHATEVER. I'M GOING TO WATCH GO GO PARODY RANGERS.
