It's Morphin Time! The Power Rangers franchise has
been a remarkably durable one, which has gone through many different iterations
-- and it's about to get yet another overhaul. This time, the show is
reconnecting with its past, as Haim Saban, the original producer of Mighty
Morphin Power Rangers and several of the subsequent seasons, has purchased the
series back from its most recent owner, Disney.

Saban has already secured a deal to bring the series to Nickelodeon, where
new episodes will be produced, along with airings of the 700 (!) previously
produced episodes from the show's first seventeen seasons. Premiering in 2011,
the new Season 18 of Power Rangers
(which will, per usual, feature a new cast) will consist of 20 episodes – a
shorter run than previous seasons, which most recently ran about 32 episodes
each.

IT'S SABAN! SABAN! Which was ORIGINAL POWER RANGERS which means LIFE CAN STOP SUCKING NOW. OMG, I'M SO HAPPY.

I think I shall go watch Power Rangers now... OR SOON.
